Tropical Rainforest Training focuses on human capital development. The programme’s primary objective is to provide broad-based education and training for upper secondary school leavers so they can become skilled personnel in the rainforest conservation industry. Upon graduation, participants can become nursery supervisors, forest rangers, tree identifiers, conservation site supervisors, plot surveyors, seed collectors and other related professions.
During the nine-month training course, trainees will be exposed to on the job training to develop their skills and understanding of relevant subject matters. Trainees will also be involved in programmes by Landskap Malaysia and Tropical Rainforest Conservation & Research Centre to provide better exposure to the real working environment.
